Trent Bridge

Be bowled over when you visit Nottinghamshire for thrilling Test Match and ODI cricket in 2017!

Nottinghamshire is home to many world famous landmarks and boasts more sports facilities per head than anywhere else in Europe. It's also where you'll find one of the oldest Test grounds, and finest cricket venues in the world, Trent Bridge.

As a premier venue for world cricket, Trent Bridge has been hosting The Ashes Test Series for many years, most recently when England famously regained the urn on Trent Bridge's soil, claiming the victory with a hero's performance from local player Stuart Broad.

In 2016, the famous cricket ground hosted a pair of thrilling Royal London One Day Internationals between England and Sri Lanka, and England and Pakistan. England struck a six off the last ball to claim a nail-biting tie against Sri Lanka, before re-writing the record books as they achieved a World Record ODI score of 444-3 - casting Pakistan aside in brutal style.

2017 sees the return of test cricket - with South Africa coming to town on 14 July 2017, before the England side take on the West Indies in a One Day International, on 21 September.

Trent Bridge is situated in a great location close to the vibrant town of West Bridgford on the edge of the city, where you will not be short of places to eat and drink. Close by are Nottingham Forest and Notts County Football Clubs, and only a short drive away is Holme Pierrepont Country Park, home of The National Water Sports Centre. It's a haven if you are a cricket widow and want to escape for a while, or a great place to keep the children busy with the brand new Family Fun Park complete with Sky Trail High Ropes.

The city of Nottingham is within walking distance too where you'll find some of the best shopping, nightlife, dining options and an array of attractions.

We look forward to welcoming you. Don't forget to share your Trent Bridge experience with us on Twitter and Facebook using #lovenotts and #trentbridge.
